With much of the world sheltering in place these days, classical artists everywhere are sharing their work through videos of at-home performances. Classical fans are posting all kinds of content, too. Here are some of our favorites.
Yo-Yo Ma's #SongsOfComfort
"In these days of anxiety, I wanted to find a way to continue to share some of the music that gives me comfort," cellist Yo-Yo Ma says in the description for this simply shot video. His beautiful rendition of Antonin Dvořák's Going Home has sparked an international movement under the hashtag #SongsOfComfort. — R.S.

A famous conductor's grandson?
Originally posted on Facebook at least five months ago, this video purports to show maestro Zubin Mehta's grandson dancing while watching his grandfather conduct. It has resurfaced recently as classical fans stuck at home share anything and everything fun that they find online. It's not clear if this really is Mehta's progeny, but it sure is cute. — R.S.
Virtually Together: ROCO's Anthem of Hope
In honor of the first responders and heroes of the COVID-19 crisis, the musicians of ROCO came together virtually from across the U.S. and Canada to perform their commission Anthem of Hope, by Anthony DiLorenzo — offering hope and strength during this difficult time. — R.B.

The best young brass players in the country aren't just found in youth orchestras; they're also playing in drum and bugle corps across the country. For proof, check out the phenomenal performers in Carolina Crown, which boasts the top horn line in Drum Corps International, as they play Bach's Little Fugue in G minor from their homes. — R.S.
Creating a virtual community of voices
The vocal ensemble Radiance performed a beautiful rendition of Caroline Shaw's song "and the swallow" remotely from the safety of their homes. It's a beautifully fitting piece, about finding a home and celebrating a sense of safety. — B.K.
