Soldier of Fortune
On the surface, it doesn't seem like an equitable trade at all. A soldier sells his soul to the devil for a book. But it turns out to be a very special book. It can predict the future of the economy. No doubt many Washington pundits would be willing to strike a similar bargain these days.
